Heard an interview with an Obamanoid this morning and she was spouting this idiot defense that Obama was only eight years old when Ayers was in his primer period. This is so idiotic and scary that people out there have such insufficient reasoning skills to accept this as valid defense against Obama's choice, as an aspiring politician, to associate with this man in his adulthood.
First nobody is getting anywhere near asserting that Obama had a part in this bombing activity. What is in question is that knowing Ayer's history he chose to associate with him at all. You know I was only fourteen when the Manson murders happened. Suppose he was released, you think I or any sane person would even consider going into business with him or associated in any manner?

nothing like I imagine you'd look like. I got to write my dad's eulogy in which I laid subtle hints that all those thumpers in the family were mere synthetic Christians.. and they might do well to seek their own salvation instead of his. Can't remember if I've told you the story but there was no doubt in their mind after it was over who was right with his creator.
we had to make the great escape after the funeral get together as everybody wanted my neck! i have this uncle who just about pops an artery every time he's around me with his good, democrat, union-loving bee-ess - he's worn a goodly portion of his teeth down just gritting at me - good thing we moved away. ha!

I think the Ayers claim IS crap. I think it opens up the Palins' ties to the Seccessionist group and McCain has some skeletons and relationships in his background I also don't want to hear about
Besides, really what does it matter. Ayers and Obama aren't talking on the phone and going to events together. If I go to a gathering I don't ask everyone about what they did in the past.
Say what you want but to me this is just silliness and really ridiculous.
I also feel we as a nation lose when we try to act as if we are the only ones who are patriotic or moral.
mm - they hosted a party in his honor - haven't you seen the anderson cooper, cnn, expose? you don't host parties for people you don't know...you drank the kool-aid, din't'cha?
The issue I have with his association with Ayers ( who should be in prison ) is that it shows poor judgment. People can say what they want about what are the fundamental issues of this election but to me in any election the most important issue is the reasoning patterns of the candidate.
If it was just this one incident then yeah I could let it pass. However I can assure you had McCain ever hired Eric Rudolph to mow his lawn the Left would not remain silent about that. But with Obama it is just another in a growing list of decisions he has made that gives me pause that he isn't all as astute as his apologists might think he is.
I actually think he has delusions of grandeur where he actually believes he is messianic and his apologists' worship certainly lend to that impression. All politicians lie but his are so pathetic it is insulting to any thinking person's intelligence.
He is all image. Sure he speaks eloquently but says nothing. His speeches are to deep thought what humming is to a song. Sure it is melodic and pleasant but contains no verse.
What concerns me in particular was his going to Kenya on the tax payer's dime and supporting Odinga, who clearly lost the election but used violence and Islamic intimidation to usurp the choice of the people of Kenya. I couldn't imagine John Kennedy or Bill Clinton thinking of that let alone actually doing it.
Now Obama cannot lay claim that he was unaware of what his tribal 'cousin' had done to democracy in that country. He went there, allowed himself to be filmed supporting this less than civil overthrow of democratic principles.
Not too bright in my view for a US Senator wanting to be leader of the free world.
