Indefensible Defense

I understand Senator Reid has a plan to impress the image into the American mindset that Democrats are not weak on defense while staging sideshows to insinuate the Bush administration has a failed defense policy. With Democrats it is not what they are about but why they are against the other guy.

I think to show some true grit the senator ought to head to a military base during Easter recess right in the heart of Bush country and support the candidates there.

Sister Hillary & Brother John

I find it quite entertaining to see liberals such as the Clintons, John Kerry or any of a plethora of Hollywood celebrities try to do the Christian religion routine. It is a common human attribute to try to fit into a group and so it is imperiative to learn at least a few buzz words of that group.

We've all probably done this ourselves. As a teenager I tried to learn some basic understanding of cars or music so you can fit in. In business you find sales managers who have a hard time grasping the intricasies of some technical implementation so they pickup a few terms of the jargon to avoid seeming like a complete twit.

So it is when liberals try to do religion. They use some example that any 6 year old that ever went to Bible school knows because most likely that fully plumbs the depths of their actual knowledge of the religion. I've made this observation before when Brother J. Kerry-Heinz decided he needed to get in touch with Southern gospel type folks during the 04 election.

Now we have Hillary making a bit of a stretch on the immigration bill by attempting to compare illegal immigrants, whose first action in this country is to break our law when they step over the border, to the story of the good Samaritan:

"It is certainly not in keeping with my understanding of the Scriptures," Clinton said, "because this bill would literally criminalize the Good Samaritan and probably even Jesus himself."

Feeling a little embarassed for her novice attempt for a hallelujah, I would like to help the future President broaden her understanding of 'Scripture'( notice how she avoided the use of the term 'The Bible', wouldn't want a violent uprising of the religion of peace now would we?) So I offer her a verse she can use in the the context of illegal immigration:

John 10:1 - "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber."

Amen.

Progressives ?

I get a chuckle when people refer to themselves as 'Progressives'. I've always wanted to ask them exactly what they are progressing towards.

I think I've found the answer.

MSM Liberal Bias? Naaaw. No Way.

DRUDGE REPORT FLASH 2006
ABC's John Green: "Bush makes me sick."

It's OK John, you're not revealing an attitude held by you and the rest of ABC that we weren't already aware of.

But THIS must really turn your stomach.

Lainey Photo Website

Lainey's Photo Website

"The brigade's mission in Iraq was very successful and troops overseas continue to take strides in making this country a better place for people to live. I am very proud to have served my country in such an honorable way. The media often portrays Iraq as being so horrible and that couldn't be farther from the truth. Even the little things we did everyday made such a big difference. Soldiers are not robots, they are people too. They have feelings and emotions. They, too, are entitled to a little bit of fun every now and then. This website was started to show you how soliders made the best of their time through the deployment process. If you came to this site for some negativity, you stopped by the wrong place." - Lainey Poche

And she aint't kiddin.

Found this at one of the major blogs but I got engrossed in the music and photos on this site and do not recall how I got there. It's worth the time to go through the entire site. Excellent photos, subject matter and well... just very well done.

As I enjoyed the pics I kept hearing all these emotive appeals from the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Michael Moore about 'sending our boys and girls to war' or 'sending our children to war.' Look at the photos. These are the Women and Men of the United States Armed Forces and it makes me proud to belong to a society that produces such people.

Thanks You Lainey very much... and yes I want to use one of your photos... a favorite is hard to choose but I'm going with this example of American citizenship:

Ben Stein On The Oscars

I didn't watch the Oscars last night but I'll take Ben Stein's word about it:

The American Spectator:

"Basically, the sad truth is that Hollywood does not think of itself as part of America, and so, to Hollywood, the war to save freedom from Islamic terrorists is happening to someone else. It does not concern them except insofar as it offers occasion to mock or criticize George Bush. They live in dreamland and cannot be gracious enough to thank the men and women who pay with their lives for the stars' ability to live in dreamland. This is shameful."

Read it all... that's pretty much why I didn't watch.

Offending Muslims

Once these 1.5 billion Muslims manage to subdue us 4.5 billion non-muslims then they can make right the decadent ways of the uncultured and inferior West. Inspired by the Taliban's purge of human imagery displayed by the former Buddhas of Bamiyan the new Caliphate will begin work on this vile and offensive image:

Offense: Depiction of the human or animal form.
Offense: An immodest female in public.
Offense: The representation of the idea that God made us all with a free will to choose our belief system and in making such choice we are accountable to God and only God for that choice.

Bulimia Nervosa Datum

Ok... I was just reading a piece by Eric Alterman over at MSNBC.com. As I read through it I came upon an idea.... So let me frame the context;

Go here and read this short definition of Bulimia Nervosa. The main idea I had in mind was the binge/purge aspect of this mental disorder as it relates to food. Some of the highlights I found include:

*" Bulimia is characterized by episodes of binge-eating followed by inappropriate methods of weight control (purging)."

* "Binge eating is not a response to intense hunger. It is usually a response to depression, stress, or self esteem issues. During the binge episode, the individual experiences a loss of control. However, the sense of a loss of control is also followed by a short-lived calmness. The calmness is often followed by self-loathing. The cycle of overeating and purging usually becomes an obsession and is repeated often."

* "Also, individuals suffering from Bulimia often deny their condition."

Now, read the first section of this Alterman piece and consider these 'facts':

* "who knew that Bush’s team did nothing to prevent 9/11 despite considerable signals,"

* "let him get away at Tora-Bora,"

* "pulled agents out of Afghanistan to send them to Iraq,"

* "recruited gazillions of potential terrorists for his organization with his chaos-inducing invasion of Iraq and spread more hatred of the United States than our worst enemies might have hoped for"

I came to realize that facts are to the liberal's mind what food is to bulimic's belly. Not something to be fully digested.
