The New JFK ?

"I strongly condemn the outbreak of violence in Georgia, and urge an immediate end to armed conflict. Now is the time for Georgia and Russia to show restraint, and to avoid an escalation to full scale war. Georgia's territorial integrity must be respected. All sides should enter into direct talks on behalf of stability in Georgia, and the United States, the United Nations Security Council, and the international community should fully support a peaceful resolution to this crisis."

uh uh No wait, now uh wait a minute I have always said that we should first resolve our issues by uh talking with the parties involved. But Uh uh but now uh I would just like to say that I agree with my foreign policy advisor, Governor Richardson, that we should immediately go to the United Nations Security Council, condemn Russia’s action, and then get the Security Council to pass a strong resolution getting the Russians to show some uh restraint, and possibly at the same time generate some U.N. peacekeeping troops. ( Where from France, Britainistan, China ? )

Upon hearing Obama and Richardson's fierce words Putin began to shake uncontrollably saying "Oh I hope they elect these clueless poseurs. Maybe as President he will learn about the veto. Da da am racist to criticize, so what. "

frankly, pootie is a pitbull in the world of humans - he knows no restraint. one of the only portions of the opening ceremonies at the olympics i saw the other evening were of he and w exchanging niceties in the stands. i imagine the conversating went something like this:

w: you need to pull your troops out of georgia - now is not the time for this type of action.

pootie (all smiles): and like YOU tell ME what to do?!? I LAUGH!

w: come on, pootie...pweeeze?

iopian - i so look forward to the Lord's return.

I understand that there was a rather terse exchange witnessed by leaders of other countries between the two. But what can anyone do. I understand Georgia was told by the West to chill out for a bit over the rebels which they did not do. If a pitbull is sitting there growling and you tell someone not to move and they move anyway... well they were warned.

I think this attempt to expand NATO everywhere is just asking for trouble. In fact, now that Russia is doing what they do would be a good time to let Europe know they are big folks now and they can fork over the bucks to defend themselves.

Indeed ! My carnal part doesn't want to die but my spiritual side can't wait to get out of this asylum. Maybe the Lord will task me with patrolling other parts of the universe...
