I was busy grooming my gravel driveway last night and missed the first part of the Saddleback meeting. Once I jumped in my truck to tamp the loose gravel I did listen to apparently most of Obama's part. Once a break came I went in and turned on the tube to watch it.
I really like this forum and think it should replace these absurd 'debates' which are nothing more than this limited party bickering that many of us are so sick of both on television and in Congress. It was fair and it was informative. It allowed a clean cut comparison of these two candidates. I hope though that it was too soon since the DNC civil war is still pending in Denver.

IOPIAN! THEY'RE A SHAM!
they did not transcribe word for word - i know as i transcribe at 65 wpm on a bad day and am hard put to miss a single vowel!
i may work on transcribing them myself.
Well my friend, uh uh I think that uh when one uses a lot of uh pauses before delivering the uh point emphatically it uh makes one sound uh like a person that contemplates uh the nuances of otherwise simple concepts uh quite a bit before uh one speaks. This technique uh gives the dullards uh time to comprehend the uh idea.
saddleback got tired of hearing from me and sent me another email saying i could PURCHASE a copy of a CERTIFIED transcript! do you believe it? i'm tempted.
Wonder if there is a video out there?
Then you could transcribe at your leisure. Personally I hope this type of forum catches on. It takes away the bias of the press. What I think would be great is for each candidate to face a forum of voters from the opposing party. That would be a very democratic thing since whoever is elected has to represemt us all.
the vids are here. and, i'm working on it...
check out the comments - there are a couple of real winners. there's also a link to the "UNCERTIFIED" transcripts.
p.s. the problem is when i transcribe vids, i first have to speedwrite them and ten type them as i don't have a quick stop/start machine - i have to do everything by hand.
