I Hope because this is the status quo.
For Obama and his 'enlightened' followers 'choice' goes beyond the woman's body.
Obama claims to be a Christian. What would the one he claims to follow have to say about this?

Brilliant, Masterful... Now I Have Hope there will be Change... finally !!!
This is going to make Uhbama and his old worn out horse Biden look so... yesterday !
I can hear team Uhbama... DAMN ! That old cogger just stole our thunder.

Drilling 101 for Pelosi and Uhbama
How we get that nasty evil oil that feeds our addiction to fossil fuels.
How we get that good natural gas to get away from fossil fuels.
If the people that want to run this country are this clueless about something like energy just how clueless must they be about even more complex concepts like oh.. the climate dynamics of our planet ?
Gore Is An Idiot, Let Me Count The Ways
Just reading a bit about Mr. Green's speech. This guy is about as stupid as they come.
Shall I fisk ?
Shall I fisk ?
"Eight years ago, some said there was not much difference between the nominees of the two major parties and it didn’t really matter who became president," Gore said. "Our nation was enjoying peace and prosperity. Some assumed we would continue both, no matter the outcome. But here we all are in 2008, and I doubt anyone would argue now that election didn’t matter.
Enjoying peace and prosperity... Peace !? Somalia, Tanzania, Khobar Towers, averting our heads from genocide in Rwanda, the USS Cole leading up to those wonderful days of eight years ago. He also seems to forget that Clinton handled the economy so well that two years into his term the Republicans took the Congress at which point the economic boom began. Not to mention the most obvious delimiting event that forever brought a new way of thinking towards those that would wish us ill.. September 10th and September 11th.
Oh this next one is loaded with delusion:
"Take it from me," Gore continued," if it had ended differently, we would not be bogged down in Iraq," ( 5 casualties last month, an agreement for coalition troops to stand down as the Iraqi stand up and the turning over of Anbar province coming Monday ) Bogged down... Al that was a year or two ago... read a conservative blog please and get up to date.
"we would have pursued bin Laden until we captured him." Then what Al ? Keep in mind that Bin Laden's driver has recently made the point that it was the Clinton/Gore administration's inaction on the attacks mentioned above that emboldened Bin Laden. Had the Clinton/Gore administration acted when they had the chance there would have been no need to pursue bin Laden and what makes us think that since you had your chance and failed multiple times you would have done any better ?
"We would not be facing a self-inflicted economic crisis;" ( and how is that the administration's fault... because a robust economy gave hope to people who fell prey to unscrupulous lenders ? ) "we would be fighting for middle-income families." ( like giving them back the revenue surplus before Congress gottheir grubby hands on it to earmark ?) "We would not be showing contempt for the Constitution;" ( Democrats would never do that would they ) "we’d be protecting the rights of every American, regardless of race, religion, disability, gender or sexual orientation. And we would not be denying the climate crisis; we’d be solving it." ( You mean the cooling crisis that began in 1998 ? ).
Then he makes the comparison to Lincoln, a Republican, who suspended the Writ of Habeas Corpus, allowed military tribunals to put people on trial and in some cases allow their execution. Whose term in office is often referred to by scholars of the presidency as the dictatorial presidency.
"The experience Lincoln’s supporters valued most in that race was his powerful ability to inspire hope in the future at a time of impasse," Gore said. "He was known chiefly as a clear thinker and a great orator, with a passion for justice and a determination to heal the deep divisions of our land. He insisted on reaching past partisan and regional divides, to exalt our common humanity. In 2008, once again, we find ourselves at the end of an era with a mandate from history to launch another new beginning. And once again, we have a candidate whose experience perfectly matches an extraordinary moment of transition."
Absolute, airheaded, uniformed BS.

Vanity, Thy Name Is Obamination
Pantheon of the Olympians
When one lacks true substance then much symbolism is required. All along I thought he and his cult only viewed him as the messiah and not actually a god. Guess I was wrong.
Humility and being in touch with ordinary Americans is going to be a tough sell after this. I wonder if there will be a releasing of the doves during this pageantry.
" For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. "
" I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; "

Hope and Change ?... Yeah Right !
A new kind of politician ? No the same old Chicago machine dishonesty.
Watch: We Will Not Be Silenced
Watch: We Will Not Be Silenced
I hope the Democrats that have been muscled by the Chicago machine style politics stand up as the world watches the DNC convention and expose this impostor before it is too late. What allegiance do they owe a fascist movement within their own party wanting to install their candidate over the will of the voter? Why should Hillary's supporters go along just to get along with such a corrupt bunch of thugs. Whatever happened to 'We the People'?
The one person that could defend the people's right to vote for the candidate of their choice and stand up up for what is simply right is former President Bill Clinton. He could expose this BS for what it is and his legacy would forever be that despite his failings he was at least courageous at the end of his career.

Teaching The Craft
The selection of Biden exposes the Obama team's recognition that Biden was right when he said Obama simply does not have the experience needed to be President nor does he have any foreign policy experience whatsoever. It also exposes the hollowness of the rhetoric of Change and Obama as a new kind of politician. Same old same old. With a double barreled gaffe machine this is going to be a long two months for the Obama team. But Joe will be there to guide 'The One'.

It Shall Be The Woman
Here's my prognostication: Obama will name Kathleen Sebelius.
This would be the smart choice to defuse a possible Hillary supporter's uprising at the convention. Plus she can provide the want of executive experience on the ticket.. so women will have to settle for riding shotgun on this round.
( However this would require judgment which seems to be in short supply on his team. )
Choose a male and discerning women will bail.
' The Master's ' Problematic Testosterone Choices:
( Keep in mind that testosterone is found in minute quantities in liberal males )
Biden: Smugness overload.
Clinton: We'd know who wore the pants in that relationship.
( Yes she has a bigger set than most males on this list )
Kerry: I'm getting dizzy just imagining the flips, flops and spinning. Would be entertaining though with Kerry and McCain comparing war wounds.
Bayh, Chet Edwards: Who ?
Richardson: Never select an underling with more experience than you. Look what happened to Bush when he chose Cheney.
Kaine: Every messiah needs a devoted disciple who recognizes the master's words are all that are needed to drive Russian tanks away in panic.
Silky Edwards: Here's my Hope... Oh yes please choose him, oh please, please, please. His baggage is packed and ready to move right in on day one.
Dodd, Hagel, Nunn: Change ? Oh yeah tell me once again how you are a D.C. outsider. We already know you haven't been there long enough to be a D.C. insider.
Clark: Some old soldiers should heed MacArthur's words and just fade away.
Update: Drudge is indicating it looks like Bayh. Ladies, I truly hope you make history and wrestle the nomination away from the 'appointed one'. 100% behind you but if you come up short McCain would be a choice to consider. After all, what do you owe your party ?
There is something seemingly appropriate that the idea that Bayh is the selection came from a bumper-sticker... it fits right in with all their other ideas.
Ok... NBC is saying it isn't Kaine or Bayh and the answer will come tomorrow.... must admit his campaign is deflecting from his abysmal performance at Saddleback last weekend.
Looks like it's Biden. More smugness than I think we can stand.

Saddleback Church Forum
I was busy grooming my gravel driveway last night and missed the first part of the Saddleback meeting. Once I jumped in my truck to tamp the loose gravel I did listen to apparently most of Obama's part. Once a break came I went in and turned on the tube to watch it.
I really like this forum and think it should replace these absurd 'debates' which are nothing more than this limited party bickering that many of us are so sick of both on television and in Congress. It was fair and it was informative. It allowed a clean cut comparison of these two candidates. I hope though that it was too soon since the DNC civil war is still pending in Denver.

Profiles In Cluelessness
FoxNews: Believers in Flat Earth Not About to Change Minds
I have an obvious question.. what is on the other side ?

What part of NO don't you understand ?
Congress shall make NO law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Apparently the Democrats supporting the Fairness Doctrine are idiots. There is no clause in there saying "except commissions paid with federal funds". If the Congress pays for it then it is by a act of Congress and technically a law.
I would hope if they do pass this, conservatives demand equal time on CNN, MSNBC, NYT, ABC, CBS... etc.

The New JFK ?
"I strongly condemn the outbreak of violence in Georgia, and urge an immediate end to armed conflict. Now is the time for Georgia and Russia to show restraint, and to avoid an escalation to full scale war. Georgia's territorial integrity must be respected. All sides should enter into direct talks on behalf of stability in Georgia, and the United States, the United Nations Security Council, and the international community should fully support a peaceful resolution to this crisis."
uh uh No wait, now uh wait a minute I have always said that we should first resolve our issues by uh talking with the parties involved. But Uh uh but now uh I would just like to say that I agree with my foreign policy advisor, Governor Richardson, that we should immediately go to the United Nations Security Council, condemn Russia’s action, and then get the Security Council to pass a strong resolution getting the Russians to show some uh restraint, and possibly at the same time generate some U.N. peacekeeping troops. ( Where from France, Britainistan, China ? )
Upon hearing Obama and Richardson's fierce words Putin began to shake uncontrollably saying "Oh I hope they elect these clueless poseurs. Maybe as President he will learn about the veto. Da da am racist to criticize, so what. "

At Home With Pat & Neil
These two are among my favorite musicians. Back in the day rock was dominated by male rock stars and it was unimaginable that a female could crash through that glass ceiling until a little five foot dynamo proved that dated concept to be nonsense. Pat Benatar not only crashed through that ceiling she brought the entire structure down along with life partner/husband Neil Giraldo.
I saw them way back then and I was taken aback by how small she was and this huge and powerful voice was coming out of the little thing. However, being a guitarist I could not take my eyes off of Neil. Without a doubt one of the best guitarist I have ever seen. Pat may be the star but Neil ran the show. He didn't need to strut his stuff. When it came to the end a song all eyes were on him. You could also sense the chemistry between the two.
What I admire most though is here was the single most popular rock star of the moment and she still remained a normal down to earth person avoiding the temptations of indulgence others were being overcome by. Also the fact that their relationship has lasted about thirty years. The video is them in their house. Unfortunately the guitar is a little loud and the audio is out of synch but who cares, they still inspire. Only in America.

Baiting
When Obama is using these warnings that McCain would try to insert race into the campaign it flashed me back to a Jim Carrey skit on Living Color.
