Taxes Well Spent

I read today that 80,000,000 baby-boomers are coming into the entitlement system. The article mentioned something about 44% of our budget goes to entitlements. A huge and cumbersome entity like medicare and social security have their own inertia. Its like a huge ship that you want to stop... the process needs to beginning way before the point where it is to actually stop. Same thing with entitlements, Congress needs to be addressing this now. But that is their cookie jar and none of them expect to be around when someone asks who's been eating the cookies.
So what does Congress find to be the most pressing issue of the day ? Performance enhancing drugs in major league baseball. Why is Congress sticking its nose in the affairs of a private sector business and private ownership ?
The other urgent matter they are taking themselves with is playing political gotcha over the firing of attorneys general. Showing Clinton did and fired all of them except one I think. Nor do these democrats seem to recall Hillary firing the WH travel staff to hire her cronies.
This Congress is lead by people who see Iraq as a failure because it nacient government still doesn't have its act together and these same leader defend their delusions by pointing out the sectarian strife in Iraq.
The Congress lead by Pelosi and Reid has done nothing but use our money for their own self-promotion and revenge.
As an Independent I will not assist with putting any more democrats in Congress.

Yet, this Congress thinks THEY should be allowed more time in office even though they have delivered on NONE of their promises to the people who elected them!!!

They are indeed a pathetic bunch. Everytime tax time comes around I think of the $16,000 Pelosi spent on flowers last year. Thanks Nan, after all it only took me a couple of months to pay for them. Hey don't worry about plundering the Social Security fund... I can live on beans and catfood when I'm old.

I will go out on a limb here and wager that the Democrats lose the Senate.
