Weekly Devotional

Daniel 11:31:

And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily [sacrifice], and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

Starting at Mark 13:13:

And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter [therein], to take any thing out of his house:

And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.

But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter.

For [in] those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here [is] Christ; or, lo, [he is] there; believe [him] not:

For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if [it were] possible, even the elect.

But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

From the Koran: ( Isa is Jesus )

[43.63] And when Isa came with clear arguments he said: I have come to you indeed with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you part of what you differ in; so be careful of (your duty to) Allah and obey me:

[61.6] And when Isa son of Marium said: O children of Israel! surely I am the apostle of Allah to you, verifying that which is before me of the Taurat and giving the good news of an Apostle who will come after me, his name being Ahmad, but when he came to them with clear arguments they said: This is clear magic.

Bit of a contradiction. Mohammed's mistake was using Judaism and Christianity as a basis for his religion because those religions invalidate the possibility of another messiah after the Messiah ( the Alpha and Omega ).

Now how does one communicate that nuance to the ignorant masses with a 6th century mentality and tell them that what they believe in and die for is the machinations of a false prophet?

No wonder the Saudi's won't allow Bibles into the kingdom.
