Consider This...

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President, when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.

Drudge has a link to this article. Bill Clinton would advise Hillary, if asked, were she to be elected.

So... consider this:

* Married people can file taxes jointly, as if they were one person.

* They cannot be compelled to testify against one another. An expansion of the right against self-incremination.

* Fiscally speaking they are considered one and the same as far as debt liability and ownership. This is further supported in cases of divorce as mutual property.

Now further consider that Hillary is trying to sell her 'experience' as a ready to go commander-in-chief. During the Clinton administration she acted on the behalf of the President as a special international envoy of the highest order... the President's spouse. The other half.

She most surely advised her husband as his closest council in presedential decisions.

I doubt the Congress that passed the term limitation every saw the possibility of a husband and wife team being able to hold the Presidency for a term longer than FDR's.

So the question is: was she 'acting' as a defacto co-President and will Bill Clinton get a chance to possibly serve, in an influential sense, two more terms?

I guess it depends on what the meaning of marriage is.

God help u.s. if they get into office, iopian.

now, when you get the chance, i've put up a very special post "for men only" at curtains - if you're having a difficult time finding a gift for the special women in your life AND it's my first year blogversary...yeah, i know...this is a shameless plug...*;]

First. I don't think she'll get the nomination. Ihave no problem with the gender thing. It is just THIS particular woman. I think Obama will pull it off if he just doesn't sink to her level and leave the impression of her lust for power and will to destroy anybody that gets in her way.

Believe it or not for the first time in my life ( and that is many decades ) I have done shopping on a day other than Dec 23rd. Yep I'm all done.

One Year !! Congrats... guess I better go over there and take heed of your wisdom.

being a woman and all...i know what we're capable of and you cannot run this country on emotion!

men and women are by no means equal in all areas - women will usually rule with their hearts, men with their heads.

call me old fashioned, but i believe men are meant to run nations.

if she doesn't win this time around, she'll be like chavez the next time...oh. yes. she. will.
