These shills never ask the essential questions. They are little more than props for the President's speaking points. Like the straight man and the comic in comedy team. One setups up the joke and the other delivers it. When Obama says they have cut 2.5-2.7 trillion from the deficit the inquisitive minded reporter should ask specific how to inform the viewers.
Well it's a gimmick much like me saying I cut 40K from my personal spending by deciding not to buy a big truck when in reality I couldn't afford it to being with.
They just accept it when Obama says that the debt is no big deal. But the 85 billion in sequestrations spending cuts were a big deal and would cause apocalyptic levels of grief. But the 230 billion in annual interest payments on the debt we don't have to spend each year... no big deal. Not a problem.
